About a thousand people gathered in Manhattan on Saturday in support of the federal law reform health care. The event near Times Square began shortly after the funeral of U. S. Sen. Edward Kennedy, and train-the feel of a tribute to the Liberal leader.
A person in a sign that read: "Teddy Care for All." U. S. Rep. Carolyn Maloney told the audience the bill will reduce health care costs for almost everyone. The New York Democrat also invoked Kennedy said the senator understood the need for change. Opponents say the legislation would cost too much and reduces the quality of care.
